OJT is a 3-month paid stint where you apply your Machinery & Equipment (M&E) skills in a real workplace.
Think of it as "learning by doing."
Talent Houz can help match you with a company, but we also encourage you to find your own if you have a specific employer in mind.
You are encouraged to start seeking your OJT or placement opportunity as early as your first week of class. One of the modules is specifically designed to help you strengthen your CV and professional profile.
You should use your time outside of class to apply for roles and attend interviews, as OJT is expected to commence by the second month of the programme.
We support you through Machinery & Equipment (M&E) upskilling, professional soft skills training, coaching, networking opportunities, and direct connections with our host company.
If you are unable to secure your own OJT placement, Talent Houz will assist in matching you with available opportunities, subject to employer requirements and placement availability.
Please note that this matching process is conducted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The programme officially runs for 16-18 weeks, and the allowance is provided for this period only.
If you have not secured a permanent placement by the end of the programme, the allowance will not be extended.
However, our support continues. The Career Success Team will remain available to assist you with CV reviews and career coaching for an additional 60 days after the programme concludes to help facilitate your transition into the workforce.
Talent Houz will assist you in exploring various career placement opportunities. You may also pursue direct employment within related focus industries.
Additionally, our hiring partners may absorb you as a full-time employee based on your performance and their available vacancies.
While we cannot guarantee employment, we are committed to supporting you throughout your job search.
We provide upskilling, personalised coaching, networking opportunities, and direct introductions to potential employers.
By actively participating and fulfilling your career commitments, you significantly increase your chances of securing a role that aligns with your goals.
