Talent Houz x UNITEN: A Second Visit to Steelcase Manufacturing to Bridge Learning and Industry

On the 14th, Talent Houz had the opportunity to lead another industrial visit to Steelcase Manufacturing, this time accompanied by a group of bright and curious students from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN). This visit marked yet another milestone under our Academic-Industry Collaboration (AIC) program, aimed at fostering meaningful engagement between students and industry professionals.

The students were given a comprehensive tour of the facility, gaining firsthand exposure to Steelcase’s innovative manufacturing processes, safety practices, and modern workplace solutions. From observing assembly lines to understanding the flow of production, the visit provided a valuable learning experience beyond the classroom.

In addition to the technical insights, the session included interactive discussions with the Steelcase team, including their plant managers and health & safety officers. These conversations gave students a clearer view of real-world expectations, workplace dynamics, and the competencies needed to succeed in the manufacturing sector.

The visit was not only informative but also inspiring, helping students connect their academic knowledge with real applications in a global company setting. We are proud to create these opportunities that empower future talents and bring education and industry closer together.
